Reviewing Kitchens From 4 Famous New Jersey TV Shows

Mar 27, 2023

A lot of the antics and drama featured in sitcoms start in the kitchen, so it’s no wonder that many people can name a TV show just by looking at a photo of the kitchen set!

The famous kitchens from TV shows set in New Jersey, in particular, are places where family comes together, business deals are struck, and superheroes try to live a normal life.

But, what
trends and styles can we spot in these famous TV show kitchens? Let’s take a look!

The Sopranos

The Sopranos family kitchen from HBO's hit TV show, The Sopranos

Tony and Carmela’s traditional kitchen in The Sopranos features beautiful natural wood cabinets and paneling, laminate countertops, and matte black appliances.

If they wanted to update their kitchen, they could add something that shows off their real-wood cabinets—like hardware in a trendy finish.

For a more extensive kitchen remodel that would increase their home’s value, they could replace the outdated green laminate countertops with polished granite countertops.

WandaVision

The kitchen from WandaVision

Wanda designed all of the beautiful kitchens in WandaVision after various famous kitchens from TV shows she’s seen. Her idyllic, mid-century modern kitchen features timeless shades of blue and a mix of open shelving and flat-panel cabinets.

She could update this particular kitchen on a budget by switching out the cabinet knobs with handles in a stainless steel finish.

House

The kitchen from the TV show House MD

Because most episodes take place at the hospital, we don’t get to visit the cantankerous Dr. Gregory House’s kitchen very often. When we do, we see he has a small, neutral-toned kitchen that looks larger than it really is thanks to under-cabinet lighting and a light cabinet color.

Dr. House could remove the slots from the open shelf and stack the plates vertically to make the kitchen look even bigger.

Jersey Shore

Jersey Shore season 1 kitchen from MTV's Jersey Shore

The vacation house kitchen featured in a few seasons of the Jersey Shore has a unique, breezy beach house design that doesn’t rely too heavily on blue and white tones to create a relaxed feel.

A potential kitchen remodel could include replacing the refrigerator with a model in a different finish and removing the white frame around the flat-panel cabinet doors.
